EV chargers and stations

AC and DC charging specified against the site's existing capacity, with the switchboard work that makes it possible held by the same team.

A row of unbranded pedestal electric vehicle chargers with coiled cables in a commercial staff carpark at late afternoon.
The problem

Charging projects rarely stall on the charger. They stall on the supply capacity nobody checked before the order was placed.

AC and DC charging for fleets, staff carparks and common property, specified against the site's existing capacity rather than bolted on and hoped for. The switchboard work that makes it possible is ours as well, which is usually where these projects actually stall.

What the scope covers.

01

AC and DC chargers

AC for vehicles parked for hours, DC where turnaround matters. The mix follows how long cars stay.

02

Fleet, staff and customer parking

Fleet depots, staff carparks and customer bays each need their own access, billing and load settings.

03

Common property and strata

Chargers on common property can be metered and billed back, so each lot pays for its own charging.

04

Supply capacity checked before specification

The supply is measured first. Load management then shares it across bays, so the site avoids an upgrade it does not need.

What it usually looks like

Typical range on a commercial site.

Indicative ranges. Your supply capacity and parking pattern set the real numbers.

Typical range on a commercial site

7 – 22kW AC charger output
25 – 120kW DC charger output
2 – 20 Bays in a typical rollout
1 – 3days On-site install

Indicative ranges for scoping only, not measurements from a specific job.

On a real job: 99.88 kW across the rooftops at Valentine Sports Park

How it runs, start to finish.

01

Check the supply

Spare capacity at the switchboard and the connection is measured before any charger is chosen.

02

Match chargers to dwell time

How long vehicles stay decides AC or DC, and how many bays need power at once.

03

Build the supply

Cabling, sub-boards and any upgrade are done by the team that installs the chargers.

04

Commission and hand over

Chargers are tested, access and billing are set up, and load management is tuned to the site.

Why one contractor holds the whole scope

Before you ask us.

How many EV chargers can our site support?

It depends on the spare capacity at the switchboard and the connection. We measure it first, and load management often lets more bays share the same supply.

Should we install AC or DC chargers?

AC suits vehicles parked for hours, like staff cars and fleets overnight. DC suits quick turnaround. Most sites need mostly AC.

Can a strata building install chargers on common property?

Yes, with the owners corporation's approval. The chargers can be metered so each lot pays for its own charging.

Tell us how the vehicles are used.

Parking times, fleet size and a look at the switchboard are enough to specify a rollout.
