Virtual power plant

Built for homes that already have solar and a battery.

You have already paid for the solar and the battery. New Ability Energy puts them to work in HighFlow Energy's virtual power plant, and what they earn goes to your electricity charges.

How it works for you

Nothing you own is replaced

Your solar and battery stay where they are, and stay in your name. HighFlow Energy operates the battery remotely, over your internet connection.

Your system pays your charges

Revenue from VPP events and the earnings from your solar and battery system are used to pay all of your daily charges and the remaining supply and usage charges.

Priced on your own data

We read up to 12 months of your electricity history and model a full year for your home, not an average home.

You move to a Partnered Retailer

HighFlow Energy is our Partnered Retailer. We handle the retailer on the data side, and you make the switch. If you are not willing to switch, this is not a fit.

How the system works

Five steps, every day

01

Your solar generates

Your panels make power through the day, as they do now.

02

The plant directs it

HighFlow Energy's platform reads prices, weather and grid demand, and decides when your battery charges and when it discharges.

03

Extra energy is stored

Solar your home does not use goes into your battery, ready for the evening or for the grid.

04

Your battery earns

In a VPP event, your battery sends power to the grid when the grid needs it most. That is what earns.

05

Your charges are paid

Revenue from VPP events and the earnings from your solar and battery system are used to pay all of your daily charges and the remaining supply and usage charges.
