Residential solar and battery

Solar and storage sized to your household, installed by our own licensed crew, with the incentives that apply worked out before the quote.

Residential quote Commercial quote 1300 152 966

A brick house with solar panels on its roof, late afternoon light across the street.
The problem

Most home systems are sold as a package: a panel count and a battery size off a price list. Neither knows when your household uses power.

The same design discipline we bring to commercial sites, applied to a home. We read your bill, check the roof, the switchboard and the supply, then size solar and storage to the hours you actually use power. Our own licensed crew installs it and commissions it.

What the scope covers.

01

Rooftop solar sized to the household

The array is sized to your daytime and evening use, within your network's export limit. Roof area only sets the ceiling.

02

Home batteries, new or added to existing solar

A battery is sized to the evening, where it earns its place. Adding one to an existing system starts with a check of the inverter already there.

03

EV charging, wired to the solar

A charger is wired to the solar and the switchboard, so the car can take the midday surplus rather than the evening peak.

04

Switchboard upgrades where the board needs one

An older board with ceramic fuses is usually upgraded before anything new connects. It is priced in the same quote.

What it usually looks like

The figures that shape a home system.

These come from the federal battery program's published rules and our own warranty, not from a sales estimate. Your bill and the site visit set the rest.

The figures that shape a home system

14kWh Battery capacity that earns the full federal discount
100 / 60 / 15% Discount value per kWh to 14, 28 and 50 kWh
5 – 100kWh Battery sizes the federal program covers
5yrs Workmanship warranty from New Ability Energy

Program figures from the Cheaper Home Batteries Program rules, checked 1 October 2026. The discount steps down on 1 January 2027 and every six months after.

On a real job: The part of the job you only see once

How it runs, start to finish.

01

Read the bill

A recent bill shows how much power the home uses, what it costs and what the retailer pays for exports.

02

Check the home

Roof, switchboard, supply and any existing system are checked on site before anything is specified.

03

Size it and price it

Solar and storage are sized to your use, with the incentives that apply written into a fixed price.

04

Switch it on

Our crew installs and commissions it, hands over the documents and sets up monitoring the same day.

Why one contractor holds the whole scope

Before you ask us.

How big should a home battery be?

Big enough to cover the evening, and no bigger than the solar can fill. The federal discount pays in full to 14 kWh and less per kWh above that, which is why the size is settled before the quote.

Can you add a battery to my existing solar?

Usually. The inverter already there decides how. We check it on the site visit, and an older one is sometimes replaced as part of the job.

Do I need a switchboard upgrade?

Only if the board needs one. A board with ceramic fuses usually does. We tell you at the visit and price it in the same quote.

Send us a recent bill.

We come back with a system sized to your home, a fixed price and the incentives that apply.
